Are there any reputable online colleges? I want to take classes now, but not from a place that'll look bad.
Question:
Answer:
The only reputable online college programs are those offered through actual, real live, brick and mortar universities.
The good news is that there are more and more state universities offering coursework, and even degrees, online.
Look at Colorado state university first. If it does not have courses you are interested in its "distance education" program, then look at other major state universities.
Here are some superb links to guide you toward finding the right state university distance education program for you.

I had the same situation. I did some research and found a great online school. It's call Indiana Business College. It's a business/technical school. They do have a number of real campuses where students attend, but the also have an "online campus" where all the classes, testing, etc. is online.
I also checked, they are an accredited school by an accrediting institution that is approved by the US Dept of Education. They have Associates and Bachelor's Degrees.
I went online to get information and they called me right away and did the telephone entrance interview. Their tuition is VERY reasonable and they'll work out a payment plan over the quarter as well, including the cost of your books. They also have a tuition freeze. Whatever you start at (their current tuition) is frozen, providing you attend continuously until you graduate. They do have financial aid advisors that will look into financial aid options, if you qualify.
They're really great. They have been incredibly helpful to me in the 2 quarters I've been attending. They are constantly communicating with me and are always there to answer questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in online business classes.
Check out their website: www.ibcschools.edu
Go to their homepage and click on "online" under the list of campuses. Their online website is phenomenal. It has a ton of information.
Good luck... I hope this information helps you out.

Any online program accredited by the regional higher education acrediting agencies will avoid the stigma that you refer to. One of the pioneers of on line education is in you own backyard... Regis University in Denver.
