They already exist, they're called plants. Photosynthesis breaks CO2 and H2O into Oxygen and Glucose (sugar). Plant more trees/grass and it will not only make your environment look better but also help the CO2 situation
As far as technology goes, Sequestering would work well by storing and using the CO2 somewhere, presumably under the ocean or other obscure places. Im sure a technology that mimics photosynthesis could be created easily enough, using solar panels, CO2 and H2O, and could create energy in the process, while cleaning the air.

Removing CO2 may not help reduce the temperature. If global warming is indeed only caused by CO2 it might if you could remove enough. If climate change or other factors are to blame it won't.
I would think that CO2 sequestering techniques would work better and be easier and cheaper than what you suggest. For example, a huge scrubber that could make sodium carbonate. Either way you end up with a huge pile of stuff, either white carbonate or black carbon. I suspect neither is practical or cost effective.
