Can solar panels power a house 24 hours a day when only have 12hours of sun light?

Question:

Answer:
Sun light creates lots of energy, it would be enough for 24 hours. I wish we could use these in Britain, but we hardly have any sun :D
yes but it would need a type of battery or attached to a power grid that would supply him at night
Depends on the panels and the storage cells plus how efficient the use of power is allocated in a house and the amount of usage for the house.
Well, that depends on your solar panels!

Some panels can store energy, so even if the sun is not out, there will still be reserves to keep it running. However, if your solar panels are built to run high-powered devices and use all the energy on receiving, it will problably be less than 12 hours. Hope I helped!

The panel's store power, but not enough for the whole house, hot water maybe but on ot's own it could not supply enough to supply even a small house hold entirely even though sunlight is still ok on a cloudy day the batteries arn't that good yet.xA little wind turbine could boost ot too and there are many comming on the market and grant's may be possible soon from the government as they did to encourage loft insulation.ktf.x
the answer is yes if you have large enough panels and big batteries and a lot of money

a wind turbine might be cheaper

I have no useful personal knowledge about this. However, I know people who live here who have used solar power sucsessfully. We get down to 3 1/2 hrs. of light in coldest part of winter and that is not always with bright sunshine. Think you should consult some experts.
Yes, since your installer should provide battery back-up for this purpose. One exception is that in some areas the system actually turns back your regular electric company meter!

On my system the panels go directly to the batteries and the house runs off them. I haven't lost power yet but I do have a generator just in case.
Not really, what you have to do is store the electricity that is generated during the day. Easiest way to do this is with car batteries.
Of course, if you use all you produced during the day, then you have no spare capacity for use later on.
yes they can store energy in the day to power things in the night when there is no sunlight to b gained.
The panels won't! You need storage for the night
Depends on how many panels you have and it depends on how much they can store. You would need a back up.
Yes,
Just make sure to charge completely the solar panels in order to use it when there is no sunlight
