Do people have solar powered hot water systems in China or is it all electric?
Question:
Answer:
It depends on where you live, in Shanghai where I live my water is heated by gas, but if you got a little outside the city you will see solar heated systems on houses everywhere, I have never experienced them first hand but I have Chinese friends telling me that they are great and envirofriendly, I also know that there is a lot of electric water heating and it is not good at all, if you are "lucky" your hot shower will last 15 minutes
I hav fears that one billion people in china will cripple our planets resourses.
Don't worry Going Green (renewable energy) is one of the top China government priority. In fact despite all the controversy the Three Gorges Dam will Produce 22,400 MW and overall China dam will produce 416,700 GWh of Hydroelectric power Trust me that's massively humongous compare to US overall Hydroelectric power 289,980 GWh, While US power Consumption Almost 5 times higher than China, China are the world number one hydroelectric producer followed by Canada.
I know for a fact that Chinese Government Knew going green can be very profitable business so they start to invest heavily on renewable energy, They hire top western green consultant to implement a concept such as William McDonough cradle to cradle.
China also pouring heavy money on Solar power, Wind Power, Tidal Power, Nuclear power, Biofuel.
