Science is not very good at answering questions that begin with "why." It's a lot better at answering "what" and "how" questions.
"Why" questions deal with meaning and science deals with mechanisms. Meaning differs from one person to another, even when the facts are the same for both.
Really a vague question--a few unique things:
1. Only planet with us on it
2. Only planet with correct atmosphere for us to survive
3. Highest water ratio
4. 365 days in year/24 hours in a day

earth is unique by the attribute of life. Though in some other parts of the solar system there are satellites that have water, here on our planet life develloped.
lol - i just saw this on national geographic - i cant say exactly - but maybe i can lead u in the right direction - it has something to do with the moon & the earth's axis -
w/o them we would be like the other planets extremely hot areas & a mess in the antartic - uninhabitable - because of the axis - every part gets a chance at the sun - & the moon keeps the earth on its axis - making life possible
bcoz earth is the only planet known to have life, water, atmosphere etc
