15-25K is about right. The economics depend a lot on specifics like rebates, tax incentives, etc.
You don't rewire your house. The unit has a box inside that handles the connection and simply connects up to your existing wiring. It's not particularly hard, although it's not a do-it-yourself job.
You need to get in touch with a local firm to get good information.
It is reasonably expensive, but depending on the size of the panel you're looking at anywhere between 15 to 25 thousand.
really that is hard to do because you have to rewire your house... basically i don't know the ballpark price but you wouldn't be living in your house for awhile...
the best way to do this would to make a new house with solar power in it already...
its hard to just add solar power to your house.
