How do I become a Solar system installer and Distributor? What kind of training do I need?

Question:
do i need to be an electrician? any web links would be great.

Answer:
You probably need to be an electrician, but I am not sure of that. The requirements may change from one area to another. I have included some links below to training information.
Okay this is an easy one. To become a distributor will cost you around $100K and another $200K in operating expenses for the first year.

Next you have to become an electrician, trained and certified by the IBEW Solar Installation schools in Vista, CA or elsewhere, or the Solar Institute in Phoenix, Az.

Then you have to apply for and receive your electrical contractors's license and most probably your general contractor's license. Or you can become a rep for an existing company and only do the sales and make more money with less hassel.
