I do not think solar energy is nuclear fusion because?

under fusion sun photo synthesis, photo-tropism and photo-nastic movements of plants cannot take place. Am I right. Thanks in advance.

Answer:
This sounds like a non-sequitur.

Photo-synthesis requires light in the visible blue and red ranges. The energy from a fusion reaction will heat the matter around it, creating a black radiator that emits a continuum of light. Including the wave lengths required for photosynthesis.

Ditto for the other effects.
The sun is believed to be powered by the fusion of hydrogen into helium. The heat given off by this reaction causes the gases to glow bright enough to illuminate the earth in a wide spectrum of electromagnetic radiation, part of which plants derive their nourishment from. Of course, no plants could grow on the sun itself. There isn't enough water.
The sun is millions of miles away from the earth and not all its radiated energy reaches the earth. Life on earth is built around the energy of the sun. If this were to be shut off for even a few months, the earth would become another frozen and lifeless mass in space. That is why our existence here on earth is bound with the life of mother sun; if she dies, so do we.
solar energy usuall means converting the incidentr radiation to electricity using solar cells, e.g. This has nothing to do with nuclear fusion. The energy produced by the sun is generated by nuclear fusion.
