I have 2 solar barricks speakers1000watts and bought a 5 channel amp but it blew what kind of amp can i use?
Question:
Answer:
thats happened because there is no real audiophile that uses a 5 channel amp to run2 subs, let alone any kind of subs. mono amps are the only way to go in car audio, just know what your doing when you wire them, so you dont overpower your amp or blow your subs. itll be pretty expensive for a good 2000 watt amp, so be ready for the pricetag. though sony amps claim to have like 1200watts, never believe them. its avutally around 300 or so. never buy cheap brand stuff sold in best buy or walmart. look online or go to a real audio store for some kicker, jl, or hifonics amps.
use a mono d like kicker , hifonics, mtxaudio, diamond audio, i had a 15" L5 kicker but sold it 2 much bang powered it with a hifonics bxi1206d.
I am sorry but if you cant even spell the kind of speakers you have, its no wonder you blew the amp!
get a mono amp that is rated the same as the speakers.
I don't understand why you bought a 5 channel amp. Just get a Class D mono amp, capable of putting out 2kW at the ohm rating you plan on running it at.
Get a mono block class d amplifer, i have a hifonic brutus bx2005d it puts out 2000 watts rms 4000 maxx 1 channel , wire your subs up for one ohm and set them on that thing and your ready to knock your rearview down, thats last years model though i think this years is called the bxi2006d you should be able to get one of those for about 300 to 350 dollars at your local shop, dont pay anything over 375 cause you'll be getting ripped then
Well first off, you dont need 5 channels for 2 subwoofers. Get a mono amp that can handle the kickers, or two mono amps if you cant find one with enough power for both subs.
