A.Mercury and Venus
They cann't have moons because of the small size of the planet, that is also why Mercury has little atmoshere, there is not enough gravity to hold the atmosphere around the planet.
Venus has a huge amount of gravity ( for its little size,) that is why the atmosphere on Venus is so thick and dense.

A. Mercury and Venus
Earth is the first planet in the solar system with a satellite (moon)
Mercury cannot have any moons, as Isaac Asimov showed over twenty years ago. Venus does not have any either. Jupiter has 63, Mars has 2, Pluto has 3.
A. Mercury and Venus
OK sweetie, do the rest of your homework by yourself.

Easy one... Mercury and Venus ... and you didn't need to give the multiple choices :)
Planets closer to the Sun have difficulty in retaining satellites because of the Sun's gravity.
Earth probably wouldn't have a satellite either except for the collision that formed the Moon... since the Moon is so large, the gravitational interaction between them counterbalanced the Sun's disruptive influence.
