Would newspaper act as an insulator for my solar collector?

Question:

Answer:
newspaper is an insulator by default. The only problem is that dry newspaper burns easily. I don't think it would be a good idea because of this. I would stick with RUBBER.
Mr/Mrs Saved293

you are wasting your time.
I tried to get my newspaper to act once, but it just sat there - staring at me. . . . . . .
Newspaper is not a good insulator unless you can create air spaces between the sheets. It is also flamable so make sure it's not going to get too hot.
Dude, think dead air space for your insulation. Then you can stop posting these questions.
Try putting a magnifying glass at a spot of newspaper. Flame! If you are playing with electricity or hot water it doesn't mix with fire.
newspaper can act as a good insulator if lightly wadded into loose balls. You want plenty of air in the wads of paper.
