I just got some solar gardenlights but they dont work..it says u have to charge the battery inside first but..
Question:
they just need a day in the sun to charge...direct sunlight!
let them charge up for a day in the sun
If they have a switch, turn it to "off". Put them in the sun for a day or two, then turn the switch to "On" and they should work.
If they don't have a switch, just give them a sunny day or two to fully charge the batteries and they will work fine.
You can't take them out of the box at 7Pm and expect them to work! They need at least 8 hours of sunlight to charge the batteries.
the way a solar light is supposed to work is the battery is supposed to complete the circuit and the solar panels keep the battery charged (think of the solar as the alternator for your car) I put some together and stuck them outside. They were brightest when the batteries were newer. After that, I rely on God's good grace to provide enough sunlight to charge them back up
