How can i connect multiple .5 volt solar panels together to power an LED?

Put them in series.
connecting them in series should give you the same amps, but boost your voltage. Most LEDs run on 1.5-3volts.
You would need to know the voltage requirement of your LED. I believe it would be much less than .5 volts for one LED.
Wire your solar panel directly to your LED and see if it produces light.
You can string more solar panels in a row (or series) and add their voltages together.
A common AA battery produces 1.5v to give you some reference.
connect them in series (+ to - to + to -) like regular batteries. since the LED doesn't need more than 1 volt to get it to light, you don't need to connect a bunch in series; HOWEVER, LEDs can draw more current than your panel can source so connecting several in parallel (+ to+ to+ and - to - to -) should provide enough current. the LED will need a ballast or current limiting resister so you don't burn out the LED(10 ohms should do)
put a few in series and a few in parrelel, that will give you a good balance of voltage and current.

You will need to connect at least 6 of these .5v cells together in a series circuit to produce a total of 3v.
Depending on how much current your .5v cells can product, this should work. Remember, in creating your series circuit, connect the positive wire of your first cell to the to negative wire of your second cell. This will give you a total of 1 volt. Connect the positive wire of your second cell to the negative wire of your third cell. This should give you a total of 1.5v total. Just follow the process until you have all 6- .5v cells connected.
