How can i set up solar panel on the roof ?

Question:

Answer:
There are two types of solar panels, one for heating water, and another for generating electricity. You will have to decide what is better for you. There are plenty of companies selling the panels. I found it interesting on my trip to Israel that every single house had solar panels on the roof.
The vendor who sells you the solar array will offer installation services or will give you instruction on how to do it yourself.
I do believe that the easiest way is to have a mounting track made from aluminium. I saw models in California at the environment convention and that was a couple years back. I know that the Finish people have many homemade and application that are strange to our society. What every you try to use make sure to allow access room for your hands to get into all the areas. Component piece are the best but you need to purchase them and some are on the pricey side but then you know how long you will be in the home.
it depends on the type you buy more set are coming with direction for home owners, long time ago you had to pay a guy to install them, now they are connected to a solar powered gerneator to the house by connections and wires things like that

If it's an older set you may have to contact someone locally who set those up
Usually, a good solar system is quite complicated and requires a professional to do installation services. You'll need plenty of sunlight (no shaded roofs) and plenty of roof space. I've heard that south facing roofs with ample sunlight works the best.

I have a co-worker whose husband owns a solar electric company. It certainly isn't cheap or easy (and mostly unattractive) but it is great for our environment.

Let me know if I can refer you to his website. They are based in NC so I kind of doubt it is in your area. But there is a lot of information there that can help.
Solar on an independant scale does not realistically benefit the environment. Maybe your wallet (in the very long run due to the high cost of setup), but not really the environment. THe manufacturing process for solar equipment is notoriously abrasive to the environment. And the realistic savings to you would take many years to realize. You have to think that if you are going to use them for electricity for your house, you have to hope there isn't a string of cloudy days, or you have no power, plus you have to have a battery system and voltage regulator installed at your house to provide power at night, then you are going to have to worry about the panels being damaged, bu anything from hail, to wind, neighborhood kids playing baseball and a plethora of other things. Also some of the panels are pretty weighty, so you have to make sure your roof is strong enough to support them.
The best option for you would probably be just to use the solar panels as a natural hot water heater for yourself. This will probably make the biggest difference for you on a month to month basis, in regards to your electric bill. Or switch to propane as a method for heating your water. Much cleaner than most things and also more efficient.
My point is that solar panels for electricity on an independant scale such as your house, are not realistic, they only give the ILLUSION of helping the environment. Do more tangeable and maneagable methods of helping the environment. Replace all of your standard filament bulbs with Compact Flourescent bulbs to preserve some electricity, get a hybrid car, and fly on long trips instead of driving.

Appears you are in India.
India has the best of resources as far as Solar energy is concerned as well an acute shortage of available electricity.

Yet it is most difficult place to find an organised set up offering Solar electrical panels. Leave aside governmental subsidies etc.
Thanks to our concerns and priorities........
Its not really worth it setting it up your self. You want a professional to do it, they know the angles to get maximum output and they install it pretty cheap compared to the price of the system. You would only save about a thousand at tops. You may lose that if you dont install correctly or not as good as the professionals. Besides why endanger yourself on a roof.
I suggest you wait for some more time. The solar panels sold in India are all inefficient and outdated technology. These days there are better versions of photovoltaic solar cells and can be applied for better applications rather than just getting hot water. You can solar heat to light up your outdoor lights or even as solar cookers etc.

The panels has to face east or west to get the maximum heat from the sun.
