Need solar masses for following objects.?
Question:
how much solar masses are needed to a star to become hypernova (pop-3)?
how much solar masses are there in an ordinary white dwarf??
how much solar masses does red dwarf and brown dwarf has?
how many solar masses does a wolf rayet star has?
Answer:
A 1. Neutron stars form from stars with a stellar remnant of less than 5 but more than 2 solar masses

You need a 20 solar mass star to form a black hole... the stellar remnant needs to be about 5 solar masses, that's what's left after the supernova

A 2. Hypernovae are the result of the explosion of Hypergiants... a star is designated a hypergiant if it is 100 solar masses or more.

A 3. An ordinary white dwarf would have 1.44 solar masses or less.
A 4. red dwarf is less than half a solar mass down to the mass of a brown dwarf which is about 0.075 solar masses.

A 5. Wolf-Rayet stars are 20 solar masses or more

They're a special situation of a collapse of a fast-rotating Wolf-Rayet star with a core greater than 30 solar masses that collapses to form a large, rotating black hole.
