Repair The Ozone Layer - Simple??

Question:
It is common knowlegde that ozone (o3) can be created using electro-static generators (those silver domed things in school science classes with the rubber belt which make static.) When an electrical arc occures the plasma disrupts the air creating ozone.
We could capture this ozone and lift it to the correct altitude using gas-filled baloons and a simple altitude sensore release system. The balloons would eventually fall back to the ground for possible re-use (without and gas escape)

The generators could easily be powered by re-newable sources (solar / wind / even human powered!)

Could this work?
Could it be that simple?

Answer:
erm.. wouldn't that make the world go static?
i dont think the ozone layer is much of a problem lately.
O3 is really nasty corrosive stuff. You don't want it at ground level. Besides what would you use for lift? Ozone is heavier than air.

Anyway, ozone is one environmental success story. The banning of CFCs has had a really positive effect on repairing the ozone layer so you don't need to loft balloons.
theres a reason why they are not reairing the ozone.
we have the technology but as long as theres a danger, we as developed countries can say to lddc they cant have power stations cos they damage the environment.
what really is happening is they dont want other countries to get power n therefore become a threat to them ( or us i shud say )
The Ozone Layer is fixing itself. I hear it in the news.
Blimey, ther are some clever buggers on here today.!
The ozone layer is already repairing itself.
I dont know about the ozone layer repairing itself but lets first take a look at how it is being damaged.

You may have heard about world bans on CFCs or Chlorofluorocarbons. reason being the halogens - Cl, Br, I form molecules known as free radicals. These are formed when a chemical bond is irradiated by light, and are very nasty things. These free radicals form an ongoing chain reaction unless it meets another free radical and rejoins to become neutral again.

Ozone is important as it blocks UVC rays, there are UVA, UVB and UVC rays whereby UVC is the strongest and most damaging even more than UVB!

It is also worth noting that ozone is a toxin on earth in high quantities and the next time you use a photocopier machine or laser printer the 'printer' or typical 'photocopier' smell that you smell is actually ozone! But dont worry its harmless in low quantities.
The ozone layer doesn't need your help. It is repaired automatically like this . If u had a thin place in our upper ozone layer the alpha particles would come through and trans mutate the N to oxygen and this would supply all the O3 that is needed. The holes in the ozone layer is perfectly natural and doesn't need to be fix. The layer is so high that CFC are any thing else ever got that high. It is at the very edge of space . The beta particles are attracted to the north pole making it negative. The alpha particles are attracted to the south pole and makes it positive . This huge charge is there to hold the O3 in that state.
Try to study and under stand how good a job mother nature has already done before u need to fix it.
The ozone will reform without any help once the CFCs have gone.

There are already signs that the ozone hole is closing.

Low level ozone - bad idea - ozone is a toxic gas to living things.
