Is pluto not one of the planets in the solar system anymore? cuzz according to what i've heard it was!?

Question:

Answer:
It was voted against being a planet the 24th. Now it is called a "dwarf planet"
what ever u hear is always correct.

should have never been classified as a planet.
Dumbazz - Pluto is a cartoon dog. Sheesh!
I just saw on the news the other day that Pluto will no longer be considered a planet due to size and the fact it is mainly ice.
no it wasnt
its is a planet, just a smaller one, dwarf planet as quoted
yeah they changed their minds on it and said it is not a planet
Pluto is no longer considered a planet.
Yep, it's official that Pluto is no longer a planet, it's now classified as a "Dwarf Planet."
it isnt. if u go ther u would be frozen
Nope, the international association decided pluto is not a planet, so throw away your encyclopedias and textbooks. Pluto is just a dwarf. But there is some talk about how there may be some "new" planets to be named later.
it has been "downgraded" or something.but yes, voted no longer a planet.
Isn't Pluto Mickey Mouse's dog?
Pluto is still there. A bunch of scientists decided to change the defination of a planet, and that defination leaves Pluto out. Now, Pluto is a 'dwarf planet'.
Pluto is no longer a planet but i was talking to a man ten years ago and told me its not a planet and the other day they finally said its not a planet
Yup it is true. I saw it on the news last night, even it's exhibit in a museum was gone.
time will tell
no, the person who owns the thingy or whatever said to ban it cuz it was just rock, and now we have 8
Stop being GOOFY
Sombody musta slipped u a MICKEY
It's been all in tha media
PLUTO IS HISTORY! ;-)
Yes, Pluto IS still one of the planets in our solar system, what may have confused you is the recent discovery of a 10th planet in this system that is hidden behind one of Pluto's moons. (The new planet is only believed to be there and is yet un-named)
Pluto is still in the solar system but it's not considered as a standard planet anymore because it's too small - it's a dwarf planet. Scientists discovered 2 other dwarf planets next to Pluto (Ceres and UB313) so instead of adding the other dwarf planets (including one discovered 3 years ago) in the list of planets that we already know, they just take off Pluto off the list (they might other dwarf planets, who knows) by saying that it's too small to be considered as a standard planet.
u have heard right

it shoul have never been a planet at the first place
Pluto was classified as a planet for years and they have come up with pictures a long time ago that support the the idea of pluto as a moon or satelite rather than a planet. yet to here of another planet though.. or at least a name for it.
Whatever u have heard is right. It is no longer considered to be a member of our planetary system. Because of its smaller and other consideration that it doesn't have much influence on the other planets especially the orbit of Neptune, it is now down graded as dwarf planet.
Pluto is not considered one of the planets anymore because scientists have found several more "rocks" past pluto that resemble it. They also discovered that pluto is mostly ice.
at an astronomer's convention this was hottly debated. at first they were going to keep things "as is" -- but because of several factors, "demoted" pluto (which still exists) -- to a dwarf planet status -- because of size, inconsistant orbit, and the fact that two other "dwarf planets" (one that is bigger than pluto) were discovered. There are a lot of other criteria they went through to change this. Nothing is changed, really though. It is still where it is, and people will still refer to it as a planet in our solar system.
