Why is the solar system's name called "the solar system"?

Question:
i want to knoW!

Answer:
Our official solar system name is Sol. This comes from the fact its the first solar system we know.
Because 8 planets rotate around the sun. Sun=Solar. Earth is one of the 8 planets in our System that circle the Sun. Thus, Solar System.
"Solar" comes from the Latin "sol" which means sun.
System is a common term used for a collection of objects with some kind of connection or relationship.
So solar system simply means the system around our sun.
Solar is a word in relation to the sun. The planets in our universe revolve around it, so therefore, it's a 'solar' system.
solar means sun, therefore if you are affected by the sun you are in the solar system.
Probably because before other solar systems were discovered, people believed that our solar system was the only one and named it the solar system. There might be an official name now.
because the suns name is "Sol" so when scientist refer to the solar system they mean everything that revolves around the sun or "sol" i hope this helps!!!
