How do Solar Towers work?

Question:
I need some help on my solar energy project. I am doing a slide on solar towers. This is what I have so far:

'Solar towers are greenhouses with large towers in the centre. The greenhouses capture the photons from the sun, and like solar panels, generate the photons into energy. This energy is then sent up through the tower at high speed, where it is then used to...'

How does a solar tower work and what is it used for basically? 10 points to best answer! I only have until tomorrow!

Answer:
a Solar tower is a large tower which receives all of the reflected sunlight from many mirrors on the ground beneath it, water flows through the tower in many pipes. As the water is heated, it generates steam which flows through turbines to generate electricity.
I know the answer but don't feel like typing
they work by heat convection
Do your own homework, usually used to heat water to drive a steam turbine
Improvements in structural design and construction materials have led to the construction of taller towers, allowing rotors to be mounted farther off the ground, where winds are typically stronger. Small wind turbines (less than 1 kilowatt) are installed on simple guyed (cable-anchored) poles ranging in height from 10 to 20 m (30 to 65 ft). Turbines from 1 to 30 kilowatts are installed on lattice or tubular towers ranging in height from 20 to 40 m (65 to 130 ft). Medium-size wind turbines are typically installed on tubular steel towers ranging in height from 25 to 50 m (80 to 165 ft). Wind turbine towers, which house the cables that conduct electricity from the generator through the base of the tower, can be constructed from metal, reinforced plastics, and concrete.
