What exactly is solar powered energy?
Question:
Answer:
Light consists, at least in part of photons. Photons excite photoelectric cells. Excitation in photoelectric cells induce electric current. Electric current is charges and is stored in storage battery or otherwise put into electric grid for immediate use.
It is an energy that is powered by sunlight. If you want to know how does it works, read DLeibowitz's answer.
The sun is the source for all power except for nuclear power. The oil, coal and gas reserves come from animals and plants buried deep in the ground. These living organisms used energy derived from the sun in order to live. Hydro-electric power is a result of the sun heating the ocean to form clouds which drop rain above the dam where the generators are located. The sun is our primary source for our energy.
