How much do you think solar heating costs?
Question:
For example to heat the water in a standard 4 bed house?
Just prices please the closest price will get 10 pts
Thanks
Answer:
JUST THE PRICE OF THE EQUIPMENT, SOLAR ENERGY IS FREE.
you probably only have to pay for the solar panels.. then its free!!
the whole idea is that its free, you pay for installation then THE SUN DOESNT CHARGE FOR POWER it heats it up for free, just that its a bit shite when its cloudy
Afriend of mine had solar panels fitted this year, he paid £20,000 pounds. twenty thousand.
expensive isnt it!
hope that helped
Too many variables, such as where the house is, the time of year, what kind of panels you have, etc. Plus solar water heaters can't provide 100% of your needs year-round.
Depends on your ability and time available to do it yourself, including th econstruction of the solare array's.
Takes a bit of sleuthing (and not accepting an installers claims - they are after all running a business and most are happy to put a rosy picture to the proceedings) to see options available. And indeed your particular environment would probably be best served by a bespoke installation anyway (mass production is designed for a typical event - which invariably will not be ones most efficient choice).
Dont believe a salesman - put him on th espot to substantiate figures. Cut the substantiation down to a half of th eclaim and you will be probably closer to your yearly return figures that you could expect and you can have a better acceptance of your initial financial outlay and what your reward will be.
Installers are also keen to suggest maintenace programs as well (once installed) which also is a major cost to offset against the solar savings gained.
Its cheaper.... but not as much as may be claimed. (I'd still do to though - to my specs and not a salesmans though)
eleventy?
It was on rouge traders, this week. Their expert said about £3,500 to £4,500. is is from a reputable co. But look out for the dodgy salesmen. bbc must have a web site for more info.
