$24995 + tt&l
Solar cars aren't for sale, but even if they were, they'd be extremely cramped and small, slow, and expensive...Just stick to gas.
Not for sale, never have seen one. The bigger question is what does an electric car cost with a solar cell array on it. A guy converted an S-10 pickup to solar a a few years back, but it looked like a bat going down the road. The problem is it takes ALOT of solar cells to make enough energy to power a car and you are going to need a big battery array to store the energy (thus the reason the solar pickup).
Probably close to $100,000. These wouldn't be your ideal commuting vehicle and would only work in bright sunshine. The power is only about that of a hair dryer, maybe less. Just a thought, but to get a regular car to go 55 miles an hour would take a panel the size of football field. I would get a bicycle myself.
