What would happen to the sidereal and solar day if the earth's spin slowed down to 180 days in a year?

They would each approximately double in length, to about 48 hours. A subsequent answer is not correct: although the earth's rotation is slowing because of tidal effects, once the earth slows its rotation to match the moon's revolution (and that's a long time in the future), further slowing would only be from the sun's effect on the tides, and that would take place so slowly that the sun will blow up before the earth locks to the sun.
Not much but in about one billion years the Earth's spin will be reduced so drastically that days will be about one week long. One side stuck in darkness, the other in light. It will be incredibly hot and incredibly cold on one side. The effects if humanity is still around will be devistating.
