Does intelligent life, equal to man, exist within our solar system?

Question:
Are there intelligent beings as capable as us on Saturn or Jupitor or anywhere inside our own solar system?

If so, why do you believe this, and if not why not?

Answer:
I know what the solar system is, and the most obvious response is NO.

But I would like to spectulate as to whether or not a dolphin could be considered "intelligent life". I would think they would fall under that term. "Equal to man" is the part that will upset the religious right. Of course, animals are NOT equal to man in their "Good Book".

...but your not one of them, are you? ; )

Funny how so many people said that if there was they would surely put out radio waves that we could detect...hmmm...dolphins! ; 0
yeah the universe is so big that there has to be others like us
within? doubt it.
no its just us
No, we've pretty much confirmed that we are indeed alone in our star system. Mars MIGHT have had bacterial life eons ago, but I'm not sure if that's been confirmed or not.

EDIT: No, the answer to this question is HARDLY like the answer to whether or not God exists. We can explore other planets in our system with probes and eventually humans. We can't explore something that transcends the spacetime continuum like God.
Obviously there isn't intelligent life in our solar system. It's been proven that Earth is the only planet in our solar system that is capable of supporting life.
Um, no.
No other planet has conditions that would support life.
Scientists have had detailed images of all of the planets, with no evidence of life.
maybe not in our system
but
in the universe
and if theres not it is a horrible waste of space dont you think
There is a far more intelligent species than man living right here on earth. It is called a tree.
Yes, indeed. However, if I told you why they'd have to kill me.
Not on Saturn or Jupiter because of the conditions. Maybe somewhere in space, but I doubt it.
why galaxies exsited ? because it's universe generate it self like plants grow throught natural
No. Why not? Because I said so! No really, we would have seen some signs by now don't you think? Where we need to look is deep in the ocean, where we have seldom looked. This will unlock answers from the past, I believe as to how and who we are today.

P.s. I believe in God
If God made man, why wouldnt he make life somewhere else?? Hummmmmm....
yes, I think they will find micro-organisms equal in intelligence to mankind.
No.

If there were beings as intelligent as us they would have developed radio technology, which we would be able to detect.

There are no artificial signals emanating from this star system except for our own.
Outside the Solar system yeah im sure of it, its too big not too, we are here, why cant there be others? Theres some 100 billion Galaxies with 100 billion planets inside each one.
I think there are intelligent beings out there but probably not in our solar system. probably in the milky way. but who is to say that these beings couldnt be evil? we dont know. there is good and evil in life
Solar system? Probably not.
Universe? Men have only been here for less than a blink of an eye. It's nearly impossible that there isn't some kind of other life out there, especially since I believe in evolution.

And Bacteria and other organic molecules have been found on Mars and on meteorites from Mars that have landed on Earth.
No.

"As capable as us" would mean being able to manipulate radio waves and we'd be able to detect them.

Jupiter and Saturn are not thought to be capable of supporting life, at least not any version of life we can postulate.

Some of the moons of the outer planets are thought to have atmospheres that could support life. If any advanced (ie like us) civilization was there, we'd be able to tell.

You know the solar system is pretty small right?
Not in our Solar System. Why? Because if we cannot find a way to live on any other planet at this moment, how could they? And if we cannot, these beings (with the same intelligence as you asked) couldn't either. See?
Probably not. Life is something like a billion in one chance and we have less planets than that in this solar system. If there were then we would probably see signs of them in our various scans and such of the various planets.

Other life in the universe is much more likely since there are going to be more than two billion planets. But again them being equal to us would be monumentous since the likelyhood is they would either be way ahead of us or way behind us.
If not in our solar system...certainly, somewhere in the Universe.

The only planet that I would suspect would be Mars as it has water, oxygen and the temperature would sustain life. But, for some reason, it is desolate!

Why do I believe this? Well, I am not so arrogant as to believe that we are the only "beings"!!
If there were, our radio waves would have probably crossed paths by now. If they really were as intelligent as us, meaning they are intelligent but not supremely intelligent, then Saturn or Jupiter would be over populated and they would be well on their way of depleting their resources. And if you say that Jupiter is bigger than the earth, then that is all the more reason to build larger things. However, considering Jupiter does not have a identical atmospheric level as us, it is just as well to consider this intelligent life does not necessarily have to have a body the same as us.
I have intelligent life equal to the people on this board in my refrigerator.

It calls itself "mayonnaise."
If there were other life forms from outer-space somewhere, they most certainly would've contacted me by now.

I don't think they have the number on my plastic phone-card.

Come on you damn, stupid piece of plastic--RING!!!
Possible but very remote. We have'nt explored the universe. If life is possible in one planet in the solar system there can be other solar systems and life too.
I believe this because intelligence need not be limitted to earth alone.
Not within our solar system, no. We know a lot about our solar system, and one of the things we do know is that there is no other planet besides ours that can sustain life.
Not in this solar system, but I do believe that heaven is not on this earth and in it there is suposed to be spirit creatures.
or persons. God wasn't on the earth when he created it.
