You get a lunar eclipse when the moon is in the earth's shadow and a solar eclipse when (a part of) the earth is in the moon's shadow.Lunar eclipses occur more frequently because the relatively small moon will go through earth's large shadow more often than certain parts of the earth will go through the moon's small shadow.
Cuz God wanted it that way.
i think its because the moon travels around the earth faster than the earth travels around the sun
'Cause the earth is much bigger than the moon. The earth's shadow is therefore much bigger than the moon's shadow. So, the likelihood of the relatively small moon passing within the relatively large earth's shadow (lunar eclipse) is much greater than the likelihood of the earth passing within the moon's shadow (solar eclipse)
