Are there more solar or lunar eclipses each year?

Question:

Answer:
Lunar, defiitly. See solar eclipses (esspecially total ones ) are somewhat rare comapared to lunar eclipses. You may see upto 4-6 lunar eclipses a year. Solar eclipses also can only be seen in certain parts of the world. But there is not neccesarly a set rate, most of the time there are three lunar eclipses and 2 solar eclipses.
Yes, there are more of them, but visibility varies with location. Total solar eclipses are rarest and one part of the world has to "wait" for years to see one.

No, there are two of each every year. It just seems like you get fewer solar eclipses because you can only see those in very few parts of the world, whereas you can see the lunar eclipses pretty much everywhere.
The "Five Millenium Canon" of eclipses, published last year by NASA shows that between 2000 BC and 3000 AD there are 11.898 solar eclipses of all types and 12,186 lunar eclipses of all types.
There are more solar eclipses. However, it seems as if there are more lunar eclipses because each lunar eclipse can be seen by more than half the world. Solar eclipses are much more restricted in the amount of coverage on the surface of the earth.
