Hi WI!
The next solar eclipse you can see from Wisconsin will be a partial eclipse around sundown on May 20, 2012. The sun will set with its disc 60% eclipsed shortly before 9 p.m. that evening,
You'll get a repeat performance under almost exactly the same circumstances around sundown October 23, 2014. Then, in the early afternoon of August 21, 2017, all of the state will see a partial eclipse with more than 80% of the sun covered. This eclipse will be total in southern Illinois and you'll probably want to drive down to see it.
There will be an annular eclipse visible across most of the state except the far north and the extreme southeastern corner on the morning of June 11, 2048. The moon will move completely across the sun, but will appear too small to completely cover it, so it will not get dark.
The next total eclipse of the sun in Wisconsin is a long way off, not until the morning of September 14, 2099, visible everywhere except, once again, the far north and the extreme southwest.
If this is too long for you to wait (it surely is) don't forget that you have two total lunar eclipses coming up. The first is just two months away, before sunrise on Tuesday August 28th, and an even better one the evening of Wednesday February 20th!
