How we convert Solar energy into Electrical energy?

Question:
When we install solar water heating system, we get hot water very fast. Even solar lamps are in use now a days. How this captured solar heat or light is converted into normal heat or electric light by us?

Answer:
THROUGH PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS.
Photoelectric cells. They produce a very small amount of voltager per square inch and this requires batteries for storing the electricity. To be efficient, you may consider converting your house to DC current.
devices that convert solar energy [s.e] directly into elec energy are called solar cells.a solar cel made of selenium wafer cud convert only 0.7% of the energy but modern solar cells can convert about 25% of the energy into elec energy.silicon is the most commonly used material for solar cells as it is environmental friendly.a typical solar cell consists of a 2cm sq. piece of almost pure silicon and can produce about 0.7 watt of electricity of elec when exposed in the sun.hence a number of such cells are combined to form a solar panel which increases the efficiency.but these cells are used only limitedly as the special-grade silicon used for these cells is only limited and silver which is used to connect the cells in the panel is very costly.they are used in calculators, watches, radio or wireless transmissions, traffic lights and even toys.

i typed all this so i hope this has been useful to you.....
the water heating system is very simple, you paint a water tank in black and the water will be hot after a few minutes. the things is that if black is black it's because it doesn not reflect light, so all the energy contains in the light will stay in the black panel, or whatever, and heat it. So if you want hot water, make the water go trought a long tube that is below a black panel and the tube will heat the water. If you make the void around the tubes and the panels, the water will heat faster as you don't have to heat the air before the water.

For electricity, the photon from the sun hit the Photovoltaique cell and they are transform into electrons that will go in a wire and make the electric current.
A complete system would collect solar energy in space, convert it to microwaves, and transmit the microwave radiation to Earth where it would be captured by a ground antenna and transformed to usable electricity.

Various technologies capture this solar energy, concentrate - it, store it, and convert it into other useful forms of energy: Low - grade thermal energy for heating our homes and - businesses - Medium - grade thermal energy for running some - industrial processes - High - grade thermal energy for driving turbines to - generate electricity.
this can be done on a large scale using solar panels made of silicon and selenium.on a small scale this is done by using small photovoltaic cells.
