Why are seasonal differences in solar intensity so much greater in Helsinki as compared to New Orleans?

Question:
The seasonal sun-angle difference should be the same for both places - equally to 47 degrees. The difference between the Tropic of Cancer (23 1/2 degrees N) and the Tropic of Capricorn (23 1/2 degrees S).

Answer:
Helsinki is much farther north than New Orleans.
agreed. distance from the equator. due to the axis of the earth, the seasonal (or solar) variation through time is more drastic closer to the poles.

Consider north pole - summer=constant daylight; winter=constant darkness.
The higher the latitude (closer to pole) the greater the differences between summer and winter solar intensity
