Hey Morgy! The strength of hydrogen lines still are indicators of a star's temperature. I just finished my thesis on the standardization of the Hydrogen alpha line as a stellar temperature indicator. But I'm sure what you meant was that it's not a straight linear relation, and I'm just splitting hairs here, so I'll shut up now.
It IS a type G. Better spend more time on your grammer...
