In which fo the following countries would a solar heating device work more effectively?
Question:
canada,Italy
Answer:
I am going to take a guess and say Australia because the outback gets nice and toasty so they must get lots of sun there.
japan
depends more on where you place the solar pannels than the country.
it depends, but when it is summertime in greenland, they have sun almost 24 hours a day sometimes. so i would think that greenland would be a good place for solar panels for partsof the year. i don't know if they could economically pull it off though.
Japan
Australia, cos it gets more sun.
Australia...its closer to the equator and has more hours of sunlight and a greater intensity than the other countries. Australia also has a large sector or the provision of solar heating devices...although they are v.expensive!
I believe the correct answer is Greenland bacause the climate is pretty consistant throughout the Island territory. However, that said their may be regions of Australia and Canada that would be superior for us a device because they are such large land masses with varing climate throught there territories. Italy's advantage is that it closer to the equator than the other nations mentioned and therefore has the most sun light through a year (stable amount) and Japan I would say is the least to benefit.
I think it will work effectively in Australia since its a tropical country. Even if Japan is in asia it doesnt have the same average tropical temperature range as Australia. Japan has winter and some parts of Japan experience snowfalls, thus chilly and not sunny enough. Australia has a fairly tropical climate all year round, enough sunlight throughout the year for solar devices to work. It rarely snow on southern Australia, almost once a decade.
