Does anyone know where I can buy a solar battery recharger for 7.4V Canon battery?

Question: I have looked on the canon website and checked various eco sites, but have not had any joy. I would be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction...

Those are not standard items - maybe in Saudi Arabia they are.. Try to buy a small solar panel which has about 12V max. output under full sunlight and hook up a current limiting resistor in line with the battery to be charged. A 12 Ohm resistor limits the current to 1Amp. a 24 Ohm resistor limits the max. current to 1/2 Amp.

Have a look at the max. charge current of the battery. The resistor value depends on that. Even if the solar panel gives out 20 or 30 Volts... the resistor value has to change accordingly in order to not overcharge the battery .
