Is there a solar powered personal computer?
Question:
Answer:
not that i know off
funny you should ask that. i am in the middle of building one for someone. i am starting with Epia Motherboard from Viatech. they are very pricey but consume very little power. there are several model including a nano-ITX form factor. then there are some thrid party dc power supplies. one model even has the the ability to run straight from a 12 volt supply. they will run Linux, BeOS/Zeta, haiku-OS, and oh yes that lesser system called Windblows by MicroCrap. the next think you need to figure out is how big of a battery you want to install. the bigger the battery the smaller the panel, and in determining what the duty factor is.
when going to ViaTech click on the Epia Link. BeOS (of old) and the new Zeta are multimedia oriented and tho they would have you believe otherwise it can handle multimedia better and more stable with many features of Vista by by MicroScrap.
nothing off the rack i could find
