UV rays are part of how some food is cooked. UV rays cook us. If your body is cooked, that would be considered harmful, wouldn't it?
So food, being cooked is already "dead." so it is not being harmed, and properly cooked food is not harmful to you.
You ARE correct in part of your statement. ANY kind of cooking removes some nutritional value of SOME foods. OVERcooking removes even more. It doesn't matter if it is done in a solar cooker, or in a kitchen oven. However, many foods TASTE so much better, cooked. (I LOVE a steak, seared on the outside and rare in the middle) Most peopld do not like the taste of raw meat. If someone placed some green apples, flour, eggs and sugar on the table, in front of you, you wouldn't enjoy eating that mess. But most of us really love a nice, freshly baked apple pie.
AND some foods are much safer to eat if they are cooked.
So, it's a balance of cooking foods so that they are safe and taste good, and not overcooking, so that most of the nutrition stays in.
The heat of cooking kills bacteria, germs.but so does UV rays. Ever notice those UV lights in restuarant kitchens, bathroom, etc.?
well it depends on the food. For vegetables the nutrition is largely lost but cooking them in general diminishes there nutritive values.
Only if you're the one in the solar cooker. The whole point of solar cookers is to concentrate the sun's rays to cook something. No more, no less. If you're worried about losing nutritional value in cooking, eat it raw. But, then worry about bacteria making you sick.
