if we would just look at it logically, sand as a solid (w/c is more than salt and of course, newspaper) can store more solar energy because salt is too little to store energy, newspaper is too thin and water is alright but it's a liquid so sand overcame it. and if we see it, the sand in the beaches do store solar energies..
