Will we ever travel to other solar systems, how is the wormhole theory or freezing people coming along?

Question:

Answer:
Wormholes and cryogenics are a long way from becoming practical. I doubt that we will be able to travel to other solar systems anytime in the next 100 years.

The best bet of doing it is a self supporting colony ship over the course of several generations.
Well I'd like to think that one day we would get to travel to other solar systems.
I'm sure it's possible, if we haven't done it already. We may need to at least travel to different planets if we screw up this one so badly that we can't possibly live on it anymore.
I froze somebody one time... and he died :(
these technologies are coming along fine, in the department of science fiction stories.
It's not likely we as a people will survive long enough to be able to travel into other solar systems. The world is approaching the end of times as we now know it. All signs both biblical and found in pyramids throughout the world point to this.
Cryogenics, or freezing people is doing fine and is a boombing business. Probably won't work, but you never know. Warp speed my friend.
i think we will, just not in any of our lifetimes
No and its not. We have the abilty to almost freeze a frog but sometimes they die. It is a very specific frog that is used to cold climates.
Humans will, eventually. Just not with our current chemical based rocket engines. It would be too slow and inneficient. Just consider the amount of fuel a trip to the Moon generally takes.
We would first need to develop alternate based engines for inter-planetary travel. Something like ion-engines or perhaps solar sails. At least I believe we will come up with something rudimentary for basic inter-solar travel
(note: solar, NOT inter-stellar)

Wormhole theory is not practical in the near future. We don't even understand what goes on in them. Freezing people (as you put it) is essentially a method of life-support on space journeys. Lets say you need to conserve food/water etc. then it would be a useful method. I think we will utilize something close to it.

I think we will see an eventual human mission to Mars by the end of the 21st century (my personal belief). How it goes from there will depend on us.
Does'nt matter, it's all over on Dec 21, 2012.
