I don't really think you will find a 12 inch square solar module.
The 5 watt are 11.85 x 9.88
And the 10 watt are 15.2 x14.8
5 watts will run a couple of fan motors like what you would find in a computer. The 10 watt will do about twice that. Barly enough in the 10 watt module to keep a car battery from discharging. Meaning it will not be able to charge a car battery but can hold it at full charge if it has been charged already.
There are a lot of use for these small modules but nothing of any scale.

Wal Mart has many solar panels and solar powered lights. A one square foot panel will only power about a six foot diameter of light.

A one suare foot of solar panel gives you about 10 Watt ( @ 12 Volt DC).
