Matter transfer between solar systems and galaxies?

Question:
Can matter travel from one solar system into another, or from one galaxy into another?

Answer:
Solar systems transfer matter back to the interstellar medium in various ways: normally the solar wind, and comets and asteroids can get ejected. This doesn't represent much mass though. When a star dies, forming a planetary nebula or exploding in a supernova, a significant mass of the solar system is returned to the galaxy.

And galaxies do collide, and sometimes bigger galaxies swallow up smaller galaxies. In both cases, matter can be transferred.
Sure, but at this point it can not really be proven.
Yeah, maybe.. comets are matter and i think they must get flung around the universe bouncing from solar system to solar system.. hmm.. oh and i am sure, that i did see on a documentary that galaxies can collide*
