Why does are road tax continue to grow, along with other car related fees, but we now have solar panels ?

will we ever get back to a senceable rate or are we just dumping more and more money in to a cause that never will get better , or is it just job security ?, i see solar panels everywhere , sunlight is free, seems within 1 year of purchaseing a unit it should have paid for itself so now it should be free, thus saveings passed on to the consumers.

It is a simple Economics lesson. In fact the tag fees and license fees getting higher more than likely go to paying higher wages to workers just like you they are faced with rising cost of everything, and just like us so is our government, paying workers higher wages to meet inflated prices.
As for solar it isn't practical, if you want to see the wave of the future check out General Motors latest innovations, they call it a fuel cell, if you want to know what I really think, "I think they should bring the steam engine back the reason it wasn't practical before Henry Ford mass produced the first gasoline powered cars is because we didn't have a practical way to make steam, and if this seems far fetched, think of the alternatives. Water 80% of the earth is covered with it. It is free and the oil companies would still be in business lubricating the moving parts, most causes of death Carcinogens and Carbon Monoxide poisoning would be gone and the things would still need maintenance. The economy would suffer no loss and those heartless oil tycoons
wouldn't rule the world anymore. We would finally have freedom to travel and see our world cheaply.
well lets start with the cost a petroleum its cost go up an so does the cost or asphalt its made from crude oil The price of labor. twice as many cars twice the wear an tear on the roads Toll roads ar suppose to take care of them self your money aka toll goes to maintaining an paying for the road . as for solar panels they only last for so long the older they get the less efficient they become price a solar panel an find out and yes they save a lot of money in more ways than u think cost of fuel cost of a man to keep them fueled the truck with the fuel how much higher would taxes be if cost were not cut an how would like to drive on roads with o maintenance bet u can t drive 70 mph OK enough from me your turn to vote for best answer
