The Solar Powered and/or battery operated mole/gopher repellers-Do they really work?

Question:
The kind you stick in the ground that emits a low frequency or vibration. My yard is ate up with mole tunnels. Anyone with experience in using these devices?

Answer:
Teri, There are two grades of them. One with a plastic tube (which it says on the packaging is good for 5,000 sq ft and a metal one that is good for 10-11,000 sq ft. We sold both in out L&G center and customers would comeback and say the plastic ones didn't work and other customers with the metal ones would come back for more. So we stopped selling the plastic ones because we didn't want to sell things we knew would not perform satisfactorally. We still sell the metal ones, and while they are expensive, they do get rid of most underground rodents. The batteries last about 5 months.
i tryed everthing my son has 5 dogs keep digging still no help i sit near 3 large windows the moles were just out side the window one day i saw something out of the corner of my eye it was a red tail hawk swooped down and the mole was gone what a site it was true .
We bought four of them this year. If they did anything at all, I didn't see the results. Money down the tubes.
Totally useless. I bought traps that you set and put in the ground. As they tunnel through the ground/trap..voila they are Marie Antoinetted to death. Harsh yes but effective.
