you can get those wire coat hangers and put like a lot of different spherical shapes in there representing the different planets..and put each in a different hanger connecting to something in the center of like a base so that it could"orbit"
depending on how radicle he wants to do it, you can use gearing and a motor to make the planets revolve around the sun . use foam balls and number 10 wire.
