If theres only 1 star in our solar system(the sun) must this be the one the three wise men were lead by?
Question:
Answer:
interesting thought, however it also could have been mars/venus as they look like stars, or perhaps the north star. could have been any number of stars. however, i dont think they knew back then, that the sun was a star, hence they wouldnt have said they were following a star.
No. It is a story. The sun is just the nearest star, not the only.
Perhaps, though I don't really see where you are going with this.
come on...who said it was one in OUR solar system?
I think that it was a supernova...
The sun is too close and while it is a star, when we refer to stars, we refer to those that are farther away and appear like points of light in the sky.
There was another bright "star" in the sky at the birth of Christ. Some speculation as to just what it is has been made by astronomers and astrophysicists. Maybe a google search will bring up some articles and thoughts on it.

No! because it story continues to say that it was night and you can't see the sun in the night.
No it was "The Star" a taverns Lantern
Ursa major had conjuntivitis and his red eye special guided the camels with a wink and a nod.
The sun is the only star visible? :-)
No. The wise men were led by a light from Satan. He was the one that wanted the baby Jesus killed. That is why the light took the wise men or magi right to King Herod instead of to the Christ child. Herod had been waiting for the messiah to come so he could kill him.
I think "star" would refer to any bright light in the sky such as a planet or comet etc. A comet or nova was observed for 70 days around 5 BC and was recorded by Korean and Chinese astronomers.
There is 1 star in the solar system. There are other stars - I know because I've seen them. The three wise men saw another star.
