Answer:
A solar eclipse is when the moon goes infront of the sun, blocking out most of the light. All that can be seen is a thin white circle around the edge of the moon.

In my life i've seen (i think) 2 solar eclipses.
I'd be happy to answer, but unfortunately I'm a girl... :(
I have seen it.. it happened in the middle of the day and suddenly it got darker outside, just like when the moon appears...dark but not very dark you understand, it was unusual ! ... Science says that there are 9 planets in this solar system, but they just found out that there are 10(together with Enea). What I think is that in 50000million light years(the lenght of milky way) miracles happen, only God knows how many other planets are there in this solar system, Milky way and many other Galaxies... this is Gods miracle !

P.S. Dear Misses !
Know what it is. When the moon moves in between the sun and earth. Causing darkness on earth. Could be complete darkness, (total eclipse) or just partial darkness. It's a pretty interesting occurrence. Never seen one. Hope to see it one day. Have seen a Moon Eclipse in South Africa. But their more common.
Check out the link I;m sending you. It's tells you just about everything there is to know.

P.S. Know you said 'Sirs' (a term used for males only) but found your Q very interesting and answered anyway.
Hi Styree,

All solar eclipses involve the Moon passing between the Earth and the Sun, and casting a shadow on the Earth. However, the type of eclipse which can be seen from a given location depends on whether the Moon passes directly, or only partly, between the Earth and Sun; but also on where on Earth you stand to observe it, and on a number of other factors.

(See the attached link for lots more info).

I have seen quite a few partial eclipses, but only one total eclipse from Cornwall in August 1999, which was rather spoiled by the very cloudy weather.
I have seen several solar AND lunar eclipses in my lifetime!
When the moon is between the sun that is a solar eclipse and yes I have seen one....
