How does a solar panel system work?

Question:
in a simple way, please. i see them many times but i dont know how they work. thank you!

Answer:
Some are photo electric...they turn light energy into electricity.

Some are heat collectors...they store the heat and transfer it to the hot water heater.
Solar panels generate electron flow because they are made from semi-conductor materials that bias the potential of electricity on the material. The photons in a light wave actually kick or free up the potential electrons and make them flow in the material, thereby allowing the lectrons to perform work in the form of lighting bulbs, etc.

Solar panel consists of small cells. Each cell converts heat energy into electrical energy. Thus electrical energy generated by the cells is used for differnt purposes.
