Any experiences in regards to solar pool heaters?

Question: I see prices vary by a considerable amount. I'm looking to extend the swimming season in Florida. Solar is for a small in ground pool.

Answer:
My parents used a solar cover as the primary heat source for 2 different pools. 1 above ground and 1 in ground, both in Michigan. The in ground pool averaged about 82 degrees F most of the summer and much higher if the cover was on most of time in sunny weather.
