Its all there in your mind if you believe it effects it does, if you dont believe it doesnt.
The only problem is you are trying to associate any good or bad that happens to the child with eclipse.
Well this theory was acceptable may be hundred years earlier...now if some child gets fever it can be called cold, malaria or dengue, but not a side effect of lunar or solar eclipse.

Life as such is under control of light and magnetism. Magnetism is more effective when child is in the womb. The role of light starts after birth though it has importance in womb too but it is minimal. As such eclipses have their effect - particularly on behavioural aspect after birth for this aspect is a manifestation of magnetism.
