What are the diadvantages of solar power?
Question:
Answer:
Currently, solar cells are only moderately efficient. Solar panels must be installed in large, unshaded areas.
Other solar facilities that convert water to steam to generate power require acres of land for mirrors to focus the sun on the generation point.
All solar facilites will alter the environment around by raising the temperature in the air above them. In the case of solar panels, they can be installed on roofs but steam facilities will block most of the sunlight from reaching the ground, altering the natural environment under the mirror field.
When there's no sun.. there's no power...
also the conversion is VERY lossy.

NOT MUCH if anything. The only problem with it seems to be those corporations whom hold the makings of em. I have a six amp unit above my trailer and if the grid goes down, I have adequate storage in my 4 6-volt deep-cycle batteries to power this laptop and my lights for probably three or four weeks. If run refrigerator too, it takes more power from storage and probably only last me one week. But yes, the problem is/are pigs, hoggish proprietors not willing to mass produce panels for the commons at a price which will make it the logical choice. Oil savings for our nation would also be a positive factor for you and I but not for them. They love you paying your electric bill each and every month of your adult life. What? Independence for you? You nuts! Have a nice day, give an oil baron a hug.
