However, you will need a diode to prevent the battery you are charging from discharge when there is no light.
A diode is simply a one way switch. It is important that you put it the right way or you panel will never charge anything.
To select a diode you will need to know the voltage and current you will be transfering. Most pannels are about 15Volts(nessicary to charge a 12v battery) and have less than one Amp of current.

The diode 1N4001 1A 50PIV
can handel 1A -- or one Amp
and can handle 50PIV -- or Peak impulse voltage.
This diode will probable do what you need and its a whopping $0.05!

Work for what? and what model are you using? (your link is bad) some models made for battery charging by flexsolarcells include the blocking diode, other models don't, but it depends on the end use whether you need one. The flexsolarcells.com site does have an instructions page; http://www.flexsolarcells.com/index_file...
