How do i calculate the inclination of my solar collector for best performance.. ??

Question:
we use 45 degrees here.. but what is the best way to calculate it exactly..
Calculations are not necessary. Solar panels are at their most efficient when exposed to the maximum amount of sun possible. The maximum amount of sun on any surface occurs when at a 90 degree angle to the sun.
this will all depend on your latitude and longitude and will change from month to month
Go here. www.macslab.com/optsolar.html/ It will tell you how to calculate it.

Go to "latitudes of cities and find a site that has your city, or a city east or west of you.
Best for year round, set your angle at latitude and forget it. If you have back and forth tilt adjustment put it on latitude for spring and fall and you tilt it 15 deg for forward in the winter and lay it back 15 deg from latitude for summer.

If you spend any more time on it then that you could be just wasteing you time, get a sun tracker. There are a few brands out there. But a lot of times it cost about the same to just ad more solar modules.
