How long will the solar system last??

Question:

Answer:
For about 4.5 billion more years, when the Sun will consume most if it as it expands into a Red Giant, and evenutally a Supernova. Have fun while you can..
The sun will destroy every up until about mars in around 5 billion years.

However, the Milky Way is going to crash into Andromeda in around 3 billion years. This could definitely be a problem, and might mean the end of our solar system...and our galaxy as we know it.

So personally, I don't think we need to worry about the sun dying as much as our galaxy being blown apart into a new one.
We got another 2 Billion years or so before the Sun swells up huge, chars the inner planets. Then it'll go nova, crunch down and become a white dwarf. The Sun isn't big enough to 'Supernova'.

Although, I read a statistic once that said the chances of any significant collision taking place when we hit Andromeda are about the same as two gnats flying into eachother in the Grand Canyon. We're on the tip of a spiral arm too, I don't think there's much to worry about, there.
4.5-5 billion years approx.
For like 2 bil years cause our universe will stop expanding and start goin back and by doin that will destroy everything and probly generate a new star. wish i could live to c that happen lol.
One thing is the solar system and another thing is life on this planet.
Eventually the Sun will run out of fuel and cool down.
Given its size and its kind of star it is not likely that it will evolve into a supernova, which means that the solar system will probably survive but as a lifeless cold place.
This is what I recall, but please check it out, for I might be wrong.
Around 5 billion years, in the end the suns hydrogen will run out and then as it begins to turn into a red giant. It will eventually turn into a supernova.
100 years
I think it will last for five billion more years. So that means the solar system would be around for ten billion years.
Potentially hundreds of billions of years. Of course the sun will die out in about 5 billion years. It is not big enough to go nova, it will become a red giant, then a white dwarf. The planets will still be there, but not in their current condition. Assuming of course our solar system does not collide with something like another solar system or black hole in the mean time.
